Da Nang Invest

As of October 2014, Industrial Zones (IZs) invested by Sai Gon – Da Nang Investment Joint Stock Company (SDN) in Da Nang have attracted 45 projects, including 16 FDI projects with a total investment of more than US$34 million, and have an occupancy rate of about 63%. Investment results have increased and reached the 2014 goal.

As reported by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung during the opening session of the year-end National Assembly, the socioeconomic situation of Vietnam in 2014 appears positive, based on the results of the first nine months and forecasts for the last quarter of the year. The inflation index is controlled, and macroeconomic conditions are more stable. The national Assembly and Government of Viet Nam outlined some new and encouraging investment policies that have had a good impact on investment in IZs, especially the Tax policy and expanded investment incentive programs that can help to attract investment in IZs.

In particular, some IZs in Da Nang have been active offering clean land for IZ infrastructure rentals at reasonable prices, which creates competitive advantages, compared with nearby provinces.

The Lien Chieu IZ, which is a large and modern IZ in Da Nang, has a total area of 205.16 ha and is located near IZs, Urban Areas, Entertainment and Service Parks. The Lien Chieu IZ features synchronous and modern infrastructures such as a waste-water treatment plant with a design capacity of 2.000m3/day night. This ensures that the water quality reaches level B in QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT before it is discharged into the environment.

The Expanded Hoa Khanh IZ also offers many advantages and attractive incentive programs such as: 20 km from Tien Sa Seaport, 10 km from central Da Nang and Da Nang International Airport and a location on Highway No.1A, which is the Northern – Southern artery of Vietnam. In addition, there is a living area for many workers - and abundant labor resources for the companies that invest here. The waste-water treatment in Expanded Hoa Khanh IZ has moved to the waste-water treatment plant of Hoa Khanh IZ with a capacity of 5.000m3 / day night and reaching B standards before being discharged into the environment.

SDN is now expanding investment policies, creating favourable conditions to help investors to develop their business for longterm success in the Lien Chieu IZ and Expanded Hoa Khanh IZ.
